This is the first look at the upcoming Chevrolet Camaro undergoing testing at an undisclosed track. Anticipated for its official unveiling at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, this pre-production model holds true to the design cues of the Camaro concept car first seen at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006. While drawing heavily on the design features of its 1969 ancestor, the new car is a bold and angular interpretation with tight surfaces and a powerful stance.

Yesterday we reported on the Toyota FT-86 G Sport Concept which offered tweaks to both bodywork and performance and is a sneak preview of a G Sports range of cars Toyota are planning on launching in Japan. The FT-86 we get. It looks quick and with a turbo added to its 2.0 litre 4 pot Boxer engine it should provide some fun.

Don't believe us? Well, how about 0-60mph in four seconds and 400bhp from a 3.5-litre V6 hybrid drivetrain - in a car that runs silently on electric power through town, with nothing more troubling than an electric whirr from the quad tailpipes.
